My Creative Process & Design Thinking

01 / Discover

Client & Industry Research —

How do they run their business? Who are their competitors? What problems do they solve for their customers and how? What is their company culture, reputation and brand personality?

02 / Define

User Research —

Who are the client’s primary audiences? What are their personality types, web behaviours, preferred interaction patterns and needs? Run usability tests, develop personas and user journey maps to identify ideal scenarios on existing pain points.

03 / Deduce

Information Architecture —

What content could be removed or consolidated? What parts of the site work well already? Is new content needed? Test architecture with users by card sorting and/or interactive prototypes.

04 / Determine

Wireframing —

Determine what content should be available on each page. Design the content structure, layout and interaction patterns for cross-platform device interfaces. Share prototypes with users and ask for feedback on assumptions.

05 / Design

Interface Design —

Building on-brand UI elements based on Human Interface Guidelines. Share high fidelity prototype with targeted users to get feedback and opinion.

06 / Deploy

Analytics & Usability Testing

Run follow-up usability tests based on any revelations from analytics overtime, previous design assumptions, and user complaints.

I have a background in Psychology, Graphic and Digital Design.

Change Lab —

As one in a cohort of eight, I was involved in planning, launching and hosting campus-wide dialogs, targeted towards sustainability and experiential learning.


02 / Art Institute of Vancouver, Graphic Design Diploma

Vancouver Poetry Slam —

In order to pass a mandatory Art Direction course, I had to design something for a nonprofit organization. It was a pleasure to work with Vancouver Poetry House in creating a poster for one of many poetry slams.


03 / Vancouver Film School, Digital Design Diploma – Interactive (Hons)

Canuck Place: Gift of Love Gala —

As the interactive lead in a team of five, I conceptualized, wireframed, designed and prototyped Canuck Place Children Hospice’s Gift of Love Gala microsite. It was then chosen by the client to launch live and as as a team, we won the VFS Best Team Project Award.

VFS Best Art Direction for Interactive Award & GDC/BC Salazar Awards 2015 —

Stimulus is a conceptual application I invented and crafted from scratch. It encourages company teamwork in helping Vancouver achieve its goals to becoming the Greenest City by 2020.
